As promised, I’ve found out a few things about Rhino Shield.
• Rhino Shield is some sort of spin off of Amcoat.
• Amcoat has also been referred to as Liquid Ceramic, Ceramic Coat, Ceramic Guard, Final Coat, Eco Coat and now Rhino Shield. Why so many names?
• Amcoat Technologies, Inc. was incorporated in December of 2001.
• Nowhere on the internet have I been able to find any sort of chemical make-up of the Amcoat Technologies, Inc. products (see aliases above). No MSDS and NO Technical Data sheets! What is Rhino Shield?
• Rhino shield offers a 25 year warranty but they have ONLY been around since 1997, before they incorporated. How can they do that?
As a side note, I must have run across 10 different “independent dealer” websites from California to Massachusetts while searching for any information on Rhino Shield and I noticed that some of the dealers are applying a 2 coat process and some of the dealers are applying a 3 coat process. Are there 2 kinds of Rhino Shield? The first coat seems to be some sort of a primer, the second coat, if applicable, is some sort of ceramic coating and the third coat is referred to as a final coat, presumably the color coat. If you find out before me, please let me know.
